University of Queensland, Gatton College 1987-90 (B App Sci, Horticultural Technology, major in Plant Protection)
1991-92 work on family farm (Brooklet Farms Pty Ltd), agronomist
Married Camilla in 1993
1993-94 own farming operation (Tomatoes) with Camilla
1995 started work with SP Exports Pty Ltd in agronomy and production
1999 became shareholder in and Managing Director of SP Exports Pty Ltd at the time producing approximately 1,000,000 boxes of Gourmet and roma loose tomatoes. (family business with 3 brothers)
Chairman of Bundaberg and District Fruit and Vegetable Growers 1999-2001
2010 SP Exports is still the largest supplier of tomatoes to the retail and wholes markets in Australia. Now producing over 3,000,000 packages of both loose and prepack Gourmet, roma, cherry, grape and now the sole marketer for Intense® tomatoes in Australasia.
2010 winner if the AUSVEG Innovative Marketing Award, for the launch of Intense® tomatoes
SP Exports is a major employer in the district, with 350 FTI as well as a contract work force of approximately 250 FTI.
