 Mr Charles Armstrong,
President NSW Farmers' Association Charles Armstrong is a livestock and cropping farmer from Nyngan in the States Central West, where he lives with his wife, Lyn. Mr Armstrong holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in agricultural economics from the University of Sydney and has been involved in the NSW Farmers Association and its predecessor, the Livestock and Grain Producers Association since 1981.
Mr Armstrong is the eighth President in the NSW Farmers Associations 32 year history, a position he has held since being elected at last years Annual Conference. He has held many positions with the Association, including Executive Councillor, Vice-President, Senior Vice-President and Treasurer. He has been an Executive Councillor (formerly a General Councillor) for 27 years.
Mr Armstrong has also held many positions in industry. Currently he is a Director of the Australian Farm Institute and Director of the National Farmers Federation. Charles is a former Wool Council of Australia President, former Australian Wool Testing Authority Director, former Wool International Director and a founding Director of the Australian Wool Exchange.Appearing: Day One, Monday 13 September 2010 9.40am Quantifying the global rise in agriculture demand, the
