 Mr Mike Battaglia,
Theme Leader, Sustainable Ecosystems CSIRO Dr Michael Battaglia leads CSIROs work that seeks to reduce greenhouse emissions in agriculture and increase carbon storage in land use systems. He has work with as a forest eco-physiologist and process-based modeller for over 20 years working variously for Forestry Tasmania, University of Tasmania and since 1995 CSIRO. He has published three book chapters, 56 papers and over 40 reports on forestry, plant physiology and greenhouse gas abatement. In 2009 he was award the IUFRO Science Achievement Award for contributions in the field of development and application of forest process-based models.Appearing: Day One, Monday 13 September 2010 4.30pm Impact of carbon mitigation on agricultural productivity –can we achieve net reductions in agricultural emissions and feed the world?
